Who we are
MultiDecode (multidecode.com) provides free online file conversion tools. This policy explains what happens when you use the site.
Files you upload
When you convert a file, it is transmitted to our conversion servers over HTTPS. We process the file ephemerally to produce your download, then discard working copies (including temporary conversion files). We do not operate a personal document library, and we do not ask you to create an account to convert files.
Do not upload confidential, regulated, credential-bearing, or customer-sensitive documents unless your organization has approved this tool and its controls for that use. You are responsible for having the rights to convert content you submit.
What we do not do with uploads
- We do not sell your uploaded files.
- We do not use your uploads to train machine-learning models.
- We do not keep conversion archives for later download.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (or similar) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. Analytics cookies or similar technologies may be used by those providers under their own policies.
Advertising
We may show third-party advertisements (for example via Google AdSense) to fund the free service. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including interest-based advertising where permitted. You can manage ad preferences through your browser settings and Google’s ad settings. See also Google’s Advertising policies / How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Ad networks do not receive your uploaded conversion files through the converter workflow.
This site uses Google AdSense Auto ads. We do not place manual ad units inside the converter drop zone.
Logs and security
Servers may keep standard operational logs (such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and error codes) for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are not a copy of your file contents.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. Do not use MultiDecode if you are under the age required by applicable law in your region.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Contact
For privacy, security, or product reports, use the contact form. Messages are delivered to the site operators through Netlify Forms. Do not paste confidential file contents into the form. This policy page remains the description of how uploads, analytics, and advertising work.
